Rev. Dr. Bijaya Kumar Pattnaik

Rev. Dr. Bijaya Kumar Pattnaik is the General Secretary and founder of Daniel Group of Schools (24 Schools) in Odisha. He serves as Director on various Boards of Institutions in the State of Odisha.

Rev. Dr. B.K. Pattnaik has a number of educational degrees to his credit. He has done Masters in M.A. (Economics) and LLB from Sambalpur University, PhD in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University & University of Massachusetts. In addition to this, he has also obtained degrees in B.Ed, BD, PG DIP in LL & PM. Rev. Dr. Pattnaik is supervising and pastoring 40 Churches in Western Odisha under the banner of Daniels Memorial Hope Churches. He is the visiting Professor at Busan National University, Korea and Osaka University, Japan (Guest Faculty, PhD Economics Scholar). He is the member of Minority Committee Jharsuguda District and involved in many political activities for the welfare of minority Communities. He and his wife Mrs. Smita Daniel are blessed with two daughters and a son.

Rev. Dr. Leelavathi Vemuri is the Senior Pastor of Jehovah Shalome Church, Guntur. She is the recipient of “Mary Jones Award” given by the British & Foreign Bible Society in May 2016 at the World Assembly of the United Bible Societies in Philadelphia, USA, for the significant contributions made by her to promote the `Mary Jones Movement’ in India, particularly in the State of Andhra Pradesh, where she had set up 80 Mary Jones Women Fellowships across the State.

She is also the President of Gospel Mission of India, Director of Gospel Mission of India Educational Institutions, Treasurer of the BSI Andhra Pradesh Auxiliary. Before becoming the President of the BSI in January 2023, she had served as the Vice-President of BSI for a period of three years and Acting President of the BSI for a period of five months.

Rev. Dr. Leelavathi Vemuri holds a M.Sc degree in Botany; BCS degree from the Senate of Serampore University. She has been conferred the Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa) from the Academy of Ecumenical Theology and Church Administration, Chennai. Her husband, Late Rev. Dr. P.N.S. Chandra Bose was the President of BSI between 2013-2019. They have been blessed with two daughters, a son and grandchildren.

Mr. Deepank George Pothan

Mr. Deepank George Pothan

Deepak George Pothan is the Treasurer of BSI. He is a career Corporate and Investment Banker with nearly 2 decades of experience in various banks as well as financial institutions including SBM Bank (I) Limited, Clix Capital (erstwhile GE Capital), DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank etc. He is a finance professional and has varied experience in Relationship Management, Credit Analysis, Derivative and Risk Management Solutions, etc. He holds a Master degree in Business Management (MBM) Graduate from the prestigious Asian Institute of Management, Manila Philippines. He is married to Shweta George Naliath and has one daughter. In his spare time, he loves to listen to classical music and read books.

Rev. Dr. Kavito G. Zhimo

Rev. Dr. Kavito G. Zhimo

Rev. Dr. Kavito Zhimo is an ordained Baptist minister from Nagaland. He served as the pioneering founding principal of Trinity Theological College, Dimapur for 26 years (1992-2000 and 2004 -2022). He was awarded the “Principal Emeritus” title by the Sumi Baptist Convention for his long standing service and the longest serving principal under the Senate of Serampore College (University).

Dr. Zhimo is a teacher by profession, a leader by experience and a minister by calling. As an academician, he teaches in the department of communication with specialization in the field of development and communication. He is the co-founder of the “North East Christian University” (NECU) an educational project of the “Council of Baptist Churches in North East India” and served as the Treasurer and Governing Board member from 2013-2018. He gave honorary leadership to various organizations at regional and national level. Some of his important leadership position includes, President of the Sumi Baptist Theological Association (1990-1993), President of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (2012-2015), President of the Senate of Serampore College, University (2017-2019) and Chairperson of the Board of Theological Education of the Senate of Serampore College (2017-2019). Dr. Zhimo is an alumnus of the Haggai Leadership Institute and has attended various seminars and workshops on leadership and human resource development. Leadership to Dr. Zhimo is “will to learn and passion to serve”. He is married to Mrs. Khelibo Ayemi and they are blessed with a son and a daughter.

Mr. Tinku George

Mr. Tinku George joined The Bible Society of India on 26th October 2020 as Director (Finance).
Prior to joining the BSI, he had worked as Assistant Division Head (Finance/Administration) at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. He has held responsible positions in finance in reputed organizations including international working environments.

Mr. Tinku George holds a Masters Degree in Commerce (Finance) from the University of Kerala and an MBA in Financial Management from the Indira Gandhi National Open University.

He serves as the Choirmaster and Organist of Emmanuel Marthoma Syrian Church, Kothanur, Bangalore. With a passion for sacred choral music and the accordion, he pursued a certification in Church Music from Madras Christian College, Chennai.

Mr. B. John Stephen

Mr. B. John Stephen joined the BSI in the year 2012 as Engineer BSI.
Mr. Stephen is incharge of the properties of the BSI spread across the country.

Prior to joining the BSI, he had worked with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (United) in the department of `Housing’ for 28 years in various capacities. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as Executive Engineer; heading the planning, designs and implementation of the major projects.

Mr. Stephen holds a Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Business Administration and also P.G. Diploma in Concrete Technology and Construction Management.

Mr. Paul Stephen

Mr.Paul Stephen is the Director (Publishing & Marketing) since April, 2017. He holds a B.E.(Mechanical) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management.

He has previously worked at Grantools Private Ltd. as Sales Engineer & Regional Sales Manager, Diatech India Ltd. as Overall Marketing in-charge for India; Trinity Marketing as Overall Marketing in-charge for India; Diacore Private Ltd. As Product Marketing Manager/ Regional Manager; since 2013 he was working at Bloc Stone Saw Private Ltd. as General Manager-Marketing & Operations.

He lives in Bangalore with his wife Leena and his two children, Irene Komal and Kenneth Oswin.

Dr.Hrangthan Chhungi

Dr.Hrangthan Chhungi gives the lead to the Church Relations and Resource Mobilisation Department.

Dr.Chhungi has vast experience and expertise in working with Churches and Church related ecumenical organization. Besides she has taught Old Testament for several years and helped train Church leaders across India. Dr.Chhungi is thrilled about her new role at the BSI “It’s my parents dream come true”, she says.

Dr.Chhungi has been involved in fund raising campaigns even while she was a child.

“I got involved in many activities of the BSI Aizawl Auxiliary and have sung in many of the finance campaigns for the Bible cause”, she reminiscences.

Dr.Chhungi hails from the state of Mizoram in the North Eastern part of India. She is passionate about taking the Scripture Engagement and Trauma Healing programme to various Churches across India. She is thankful to all the donors of the Bible Society of India across India. Her vision (in her own words) is to work closer with the Churches with a true spirit of ecumenism and help the Church to effectively engage with the Bible and use the digital to build digital communities that would support the Bible cause.

Dr.Chhungi is married to a Lutheran Pastor Rev.J.Jeremiah Andderson and is blessed with two daughters Joanne Thangi and Suzanne Sangi and a son Jehu Anderson.

Dr.Chhungi is a Writer, Speaker and Resource person on various contemporary issues. She has to her credit several articles published in various journals at National and International forums.

Mr. Caleb Martin Hilton

Mr. Caleb Martin Hilton has joined The Bible Society of India recently as the Associate Director of Media and Special Audience. Prior to BSI he has worked in the field of Media for over 25 years.

Mr. Caleb has his Master’s degree in Sociology from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, Bachelor of Divinity from Gurukul Lutheran Theological College & Research Institute, Chennai and Bachelor of Theology from Allahabad Bible Seminary, Uttar Pradesh. And Certificate in Videography from Santhome Communication Centre, Chennai.

Being a son of missionaries, he grew up in various mission fields in India with the strong desire to share God’s Word. He worked with various organizations including Operation Mobilization, Council on National Service, Sitara Music and Freedom Ministries, Operation Agape, Gift to the Nations where he was involved in recording and producing Audio Bibles in many tribal languages of India. He is a gifted singer and a musician and has sung in over 12 languages in many albums for organizations including Friends Missionary Prayer Band, Vishwavani, TWR, Blessing Youth Mission, FEBA, VBS and other Christian organizations and Church.

For the last eight years he served as a teaching faculty and HOD – Media and Communications at ACTS Academy of Higher Education, Bangalore. He lives in Bangalore with his wife Jeba Martin and his two children, Annie Lois Martina and Luke Joshah.
