Isaac Watts and his hymn “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross”

He is recognized as the “Godfather of English Hymnody” and many of his hymns remain inspirational even today and have been translated into numerous languages. His hymn writing helped lead in a new era of English worship for the congregation to experience personal faith through singing.  This song “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” was composed and published in Hymns and Spiritual Songs in the year 1707……

BALARAM CELEBRATES HIS 25 YEARS OF SERVICE IN THE MINISTRY OF BSI

Mr. Balaram Singh joined the services of the Bible Society of India as a Group D staff in the year 1998.  He is a sincere and hard working staff.  He completed 25 years of service on March 7, 2023.  Though initially, he was posted at the then General Secretary’s residence, later during February 2011, he was posted in the General Secretary’s Department.  In May 2011, he was transferred to Human Resource & Administration Department where he is working till date. During the pandemic time he was seriously ill due to Covid19, but God enabled him to revive back to health miraculously.  He has a son and a daughter who are well settled by the grace of God.  We thank God for Mr. Balaram Singh’s life and ministry and wish him all success even as he joyfully serves the Lord in and through the ministry of the Bible Society of India.
