Children
Bible Resources: Out of the 1.2 billion population of our country, 40% is under the age of 15 years.BSI has produced appropriate Scripture items to cater to different age groups of 3 to 15 years, i.e, from toddlers to youth. For more information, kindly contact: bsimd@biblesociety.in
Orphans: There are several orphanages operating in the country. While those managing the orphanages provide food, clothing, education and other needs of the children, we in the BSI support their programme by supplying them free Bibles, New Testaments and other Scripture material suitable for the young ones, which provide spiritual nourishment.
School Dropouts: BSI also reaches out to School Dropout Girls and Boys through Scripture Engagement. We empower them by building up their capacity, so that their knowledge, attitude and skills are developed, in order to help them lead a meaningful life.
By God’s grace we are able to see the impact of God’s Word on their lives. When they listen to stories from the Bible, they develop some hope for their own lives now. Last year we could distribute 8,500 blankets to various orphanages, besides Scriptures. This year we have supplied school bags, note books and stationeries to the orphanage children, along with Scriptures
Students and Youth
BSI is totally committed to this important task of providing Scriptures to the young people in different formats and editions, addressing to their `felt needs’. God fearing young people will be the pillars of our Churches, society and the nation at large and worthy witnesses of Jesus Christ our Lord & Saviour. Read More
Women
The BSI conducts fellowship meetings, seminars and workshops for widows and suffering women to come together, for worship, prayer, sharing, learning, fellowship and helping one another, with the purpose of creating hope in them through the Word of God and enabling them to lead a meaningful life.
Through Scripture engagement these women are encouraged to share their resources with other women in need in the Christian community. With these women’s help we organise programmes for women from poverty stricken families.
BSI Volunteers mobilise resources to be shared with women in need. We also mobilise Prayers for this Project.
